The boundaries of what I consider North County

The boundaries of what I consider North County

Since launching this blog, I’ve been flooded with encouraging emails and positive comments. Thank you so much!!  I’m thrilled that you’re enjoying NOCO as much as I am!

I keep getting asked what I consider to be the boundaries of North County, and which communities I plan to cover, so here it is…

In my mind, NoCo is all of St. Louis County north of Page and basically east of 270. It includes the communities of Ferguson, Florissant, Hazelwood, Overland, St. Ann, Normandy, Jennings, Northwoods, Bel-Nor, Bel-Ridge, Cool Valley, Berkeley, Kinloch, Moline Acres, Dellwood, Calverton Park, Glasgow Village, Bellefontaine Neighbors, Spanish Lake, St. John, Bridgeton, Charlack, Black Jack, and Woodson Terrace. (Did I miss any?)

It does NOT include Maryland Heights, since MH now refers to itself as a “West County community” on its website. I guess some folks want to avoid the North County stigma no matter what. But that’s what we’re here to fix!

I truly appreciate all of your great story leads and positive emails, and I hope you’ll keep following this blog as it grows. If you know of any businesses or organizations that have news or events to promote, please continue to send them my way: shannon at NOCOstl.com. I also want to hear about interesting NoCo people. Thanks again!
