Showcase Market opens in Hazelwood

When the overpriced thrift store at 8780 Pershall Rd closed its doors last year, I wondered what would replace it. Now I know: a fledgling indoor swap meet known as the Showcase Market. It reminds me of the classic Frison Flea Market on the Rock Road, except brighter, cleaner, and not yet overflowing with junk.
The owners seem to have put some money into the place, installing partitions to divide each of the booths. So if enough vendors fill the spaces, this place has the potential to be a bargain hunter’s paradise.
I hate to see yet another discount retailer opening in NoCo. I think we’re full up. But I would love to see this place morph into an indoor version of the Wentzville Flea Market, which draws thousands of shoppers every weekend and is always entertaining. I guess I see potential…
