The Glories of Pumpkinland

Thies Farm is a fun place to be in any season, but it truly shines in the fall. That’s when the 125-year-old NoCo legend hosts its annual hay-and-produce masterpiece, the clever, awesome and always delightful Pumpkinland.
This year’s Pumpkinland features fun slides and mazes, lots of little nooks to crawl through, farm animals to pet, pumpkins to marvel at, a huge hay bale pyramid, and a giant hay bale castle that is very cool.

Admission is $5 for kids and $3.25 for adults. And be warned, the place is a madhouse on the weekend.
I went at 4pm on a weekday and I only had to scare off two kids in the baby farm animal petting zoo. Just kidding. There might have been three.
Whenever you decide to go, just go soon! Pumpkinland closes on October 31st. It’s open Tuesday-Saturday 9-6 and Sunday 10-5, and is conveniently located (right across from the Metro station) at 4215 N. Hanley, 63121.
