Your suburban farm awaits!

If you like this quirky 50s ranch, wait 'til you see its yard!
Yesterday I wrote about EarthDance and how founder Molly Rockamann is hoping to spur a new generation of organic farmers. What I didn’t mention is that my husband Keith and I have spent years fostering the same dream.
We’ve been small-scale organic farmers for a long time, and we’ve always thought North County is the perfect place to have a suburban homestead. You can get a large yard here for not a lot of money, our soil is generally rich, and many communities allow zoning for horses, chickens and other “rural” uses.
I stumbled upon a fabulous small farm location recently – a sweet little 1958 ranch on a tiny private street in Florissant, with three glorious acres just waiting to be put to good use. I’d hate to see this site get divided and wasted as a subdivision. So, if you know anyone who might be interested…the price on 15 Henson Lane is just $120,000!
Farm on, friends!

Create your own suburban haven on this amazing three-acre property. It's way bigger than it looks.
