Beverly Spight, McCluer High School’s business education teacher, has been named the Ferguson-Florissant School District’s 2010 Teacher of the Year. A North County resident and 17-year veteran of the district, Spight oversees student government, homecoming, prom and graduation, and is known as a favorite among students, who will often adjust their schedules to make sure they have her class.
“You get from students the same things you give,” she says graciously. “If you give them love and respect, they are going to give it back.” Congratulations, Ms. Spight, on this well-deserved honor!
