McCluer North hosting fundraiser 5K on May 8

If you’ve been training for Live Well Ferguson’s Twilight 5K on May 15 – and of course you have! – you’ll be happy to know that you now can get a practice run in one week earlier. On May 8, McCluer North High School’s physical education department is hosting its first ever 5K, and all the proceeds go to a great cause: new equipment for the school’s cardio room.

That’s right, for your $20 entry fee, you not only get a race and a t-shirt. You get the good feeling of knowing that you’re helping student athletes and community members maintain healthy heart function!

Kicking off at 8am, the 5K starts and ends at McCluer North’s south parking lot (off St. Catherine), and both runners and walkers are welcome. To register, grab the mail-in form here or pick one up at the Valley of Flowers festival on May 6. Packet pickups will be May 7 at 5pm at the school. For more info, call (314) 506-9365 or email Sunny Steinhoff.
