NAC, Cork & Hill Brewing sponsoring May 2nd Art Show

Glendon McFarlane, who painted this vibrant scene of the Eads Bridge, is one of several artists whose work will be exhibited in Ferguson on May 2.

Expanding beyond its usual gallery space in downtown Ferguson, the Northern Arts Council is teaming with Cork Wine Bar and Hill Brewing Co. to host the NAC “Off-Site” exhibit, opening this Sunday, May 2. The gala reception will feature live music, great food and drink, live art demonstrations and an eclectic selection of work from at least seven local artists.

At Cork, you’ll find art from Glendon McFarlane, Cynthia Bauer, Linda Bangert, Lauren Meyer-Banks and Pashya Spellman. At the Brewhouse, it’s work by Nancy Schroeder, Linda Bangert and Kristina Oswald.

In case you don’t know, NAC‘s mission is “to enrich the cultural landscape of North St. Louis County by hosting and promoting fine art events, and by working to build a spirit of community among local artists and arts supporters.” Group members also happen to be some of the most creative, committed and interesting people in NoCo!

So come on down to the opening reception! Or at least check out this great local artwork over the coming weeks! Sunday’s gala runs from 2-6pm @ 423 and 418 S. Florissant Road, 63135. All are welcome!

Terrific! And the food at Cork is the best in Ferguson! They just need a good champagne or Chocolate Marini and chocolate truffle (ala the Chocolate Bar in Lafayette square) experience there for after the Touhill or dining downtown!
