Second City returns to the Touhill

The list of stars to come out of Chicago’s famed Second City improv troupe reads like a who’s who of comedy: John Belushi, Bill Murray, Steve Carrell, Chris Farley, Mike Myers, Stephen Colbert and dozens more.
In fact, Second City has produced so many gems over the past 50 years that when its touring company returns to the Touhill later this month, audiences will get to see a number of sketches written by comic greats – Alan Arkin, Gilda Radner, even Tina Fey. Of course, you probably won’t recognize most of the performers, but these future stars will definitely keep you laughing with their unpredictable and outrageous brand of comedy. (Their YouTube series, Sassy Gay Friend, always cracks me up!)
Second City will do three performances here in NoCo: April 30 at 8pm and May 1 at 5pm and 9pm. Tickets are $35. For more info, visit the Touhill’s website. And don’t forget to grab drinks and dinner in Ferguson Citywalk before the show! It’s just two miles up the road.
