Ferguson residents aiming to raise $10,000 in three weeks

As I proudly told you back in April, Ferguson has been named a finalist in the 2010 All-America City Awards, which is a great honor! What I failed to mention is that 1) I’ve been asked to serve as captain of our delegation, and 2) in order for me and 29 other Ferguson residents to travel to the competition in Kansas City, we have to raise a lot of money!

Ten thousand dollars by June 15, to be exact…but that’s actually very good news for YOU! To help meet our fundraising goal, our delegation is sponsoring the Ferguson Food & Fun Raffle, and for just $10 a ticket, you can have a chance to win more than 20 incredible prizes! We’re giving away a whole host of fun Ferguson “experiences” that showcase our community, including:

  • a private pool party for 75 at the Splash at Wabash
  • a wine tasting for 6 at Cork Wine Bar
  • a private party for 10 at Hill Brewing Co
  • Sunday brunch for 4 at the Thyme Table Cafe
  • an ice cream social for 8 at the Whistle Stop
  • a birthday party and 3 family admissions at the Metamo4ic Math Center
  • dinner for 4 and a bottle of wine at Vincenzo’s
  • dinner for 4 and lunch for 4 at Marley’s Bar & Grill
  • a fire truck ride in the Ferguson 4th of July Parade
  • a mini shopping spree & gift bag at the Ferguson Farmers Market
  • a “yappy hour” doggie party at the Ferguson Dog Park
  • and SO MUCH MORE!

We’re still adding prizes so I’ll keep updating the list as needed. But only 1000 raffle tickets will be sold, so get yours soon! We’ll be selling them at the Ferguson Farmers Market tomorrow and the next three Saturdays from 8am-noon. You can also buy a ticket at Ferguson City Hall, Marley’s and the Corner Coffee House (starting on Monday) or by emailing me.

If you’d like to help us sell tickets or you know of any companies or organizations that might want to sponsor one of our delegates or participate in the raffle, please contact me ASAP! Raffle winners will be announced Saturday, June 12, at the farmers market. And no, you need not be present to win.

So… please buy a ticket and help us bring home this prestigious national award for Ferguson! Thank you!
