There is a surprise lurking in my garden–something big that will go back under wraps and be presented to Saint Louis along with the works of 53 other artists at the World’s Fair Pavillion in October. It’s a bit of a secret and a worthy project designed to add beauty to the StL community, raise funds for a very good cause and increase awareness and love in the lives of Children in palliative care.

I’ve heard from several readers who plan on riding in the tour. I look forward to meeting all of you! In addition to my garden, you’ll also get to visit the gorgeous home of my friend, artist Ann Fink, who lives on 2+ very lush acres in a pre-Civil War house! See you Sunday!

Many thanks to Gerry for instigating this collaborative event that will showcase several wonderful features of Ferguson: the beautiful gardens kept by some dedicated resident gardeners; the community gardens that are bursting with produce, flowers, and neighborhood pride after 2 years of dedication and a lot of sweat-filled Saturdays; EarthDance at the Mueller Farm, where 30 beginner farmers are learning how to grow food organically at the oldest organic farm in Missouri; and of course, the Ferguson Cycling Club, one of the ways to get active AND meet your neighbors in Ferguson!
Can’t wait to see Keith’s masterpiece!
Are there any NOCOSTL.com readers out there who would like to cook or bake something using EarthDance produce (provided for you at the end of the farmers market on Saturday) to share our homegrown taste during the finale picnic with EarthDance at the Mueller Farm?

I have had unexpected company from out of town for the past two weeks so everything is behind schedule right now.
