Germanfest returns to the Ferguson Farmers Market!

Come experience the unique charm of the Waterloo German Band - this Saturday at the Ferguson Farmers Market

It doesn’t matter who you are or where you come from. This Saturday at the Ferguson Farmers Market, everybody will enjoy a little slice of German culture!

From 9-11am, the wonderfully quirky Waterloo German Band will set the mood with some rousing oom-pah-pah music, featuring Swiss bells, a 10-foot alpine horn and loads of sweet, sweet accordion. The band was founded in 1945 and has even played at the White House. But the members aren’t exactly spring chickens, bless their hearts, so you should take in this great St. Louis tradition while you still can!

Listen to the music while sampling locally-made German food: Hefeweizen beer and pulled pork from Hill Brewing Company, secret-family-recipe bratwurst and beefstick from G & W Bavarian Sausage,  apple strudel from the Whistle Stop, potato pancakes from the North County Chamber of Commerce, sausage and head cheese from Live Springs Farm, and German potato salad and infused vinegars from Hellebush der Bauernhof of Hermann, Missouri. Yum!

Germanfest runs from 8am-noon, August 7, at the Ferguson Farmers Market, 20 S. Florissant Road, 63135. All are welcome!
