Pat Liston performing in Ferguson this Friday

Pat Liston of the popular 70s rock band Mama's Pride will play a free concert this Friday at Marley's Bar & Grill in Ferguson

Back in 1975, a local rock band called Mama’s Pride soared to national fame, leaving St. Louis behind to tour with big-name acts like the Allman Brothers, Bob Seger and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Guitarist Pat Liston had founded the band with his brother Danny and four other members in the early 70s, and together they ended up creating two of the most enduring albums in classic rock history.

Mama’s Pride officially disbanded in 1982, but their hits like “Blue Mist” and “In the Morning” can still be heard on the radio, and recent reunion shows have quickly sold out. Now, Liston is back in St. Louis and he spends much of his time performing solo acoustic concerts. This Friday he’s coming to Ferguson.

From 9:30pm-12:30am on August 27, Liston will perform at Marley’s Bar & Grill, 500 S. Florissant. And get this – it’s free!

If you like Mama’s Pride and/or classic rock, or if you just want to celebrate original music being played in NoCo, be sure to swing by Marley’s. The food is good, the beer is cold, and “baby bombs” (whatever those are) will be available for just $3.

Here’s Pat the last time he played Marley’s…
