Ferguson Farmers Market named #1 in Missouri…AGAIN!

More than 50,000 people nationwide cast a vote in the American Farmland Trust’s 2010 America’s Favorite Farmers Market contest, and finally the results are in. The Ferguson Farmers Market has been named the #1 market in the state of Missouri, as well as the #18 medium-sized market in the entire country!!

As you may know, this represents the second time the market has been honored as #1 in the state. In 2005 & 2006, it was named the Agri-Missouri Farmers Market of the Year. In 2007, it also won a “Best of St. Louis” award from the Riverfront Times.

A huge high-five to market manager Kathy Noelker and all the vendors and volunteers who make the Ferguson Farmers Market so special! Thanks also to everyone who voted!

By the way, did you see what’s happening at the market this weekend? Live music by the Dixie Rhythm Kings, a grilled pizza demo – YUM! – and Buy a Bag for the Hungry Day. Just purchase some extra produce, donate it at the market’s info booth, and your donation will benefit needy families through Operation Food Search. See you Saturday!
