UMSL’s Breakfast Series to focus on China hub

Could St. Louis soon be a cargo hub for China? What would this mean for the region?

Tim Nowak, executive director of the World Trade Center St. Louis, will discuss “The Midwest Cargo Hub Update” at 8 a.m. Oct. 4 at World Trade Center St. Louis in Clayton, Mo.

For more than four years, the St. Louis region has been working on deepening ties with China and Southeast Asia, through efforts to establish international cargo operations at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport. Nowak will provide an update on current negotiations.

The discussion is part of the monthly Breakfast & Business Series sponsored by the College of Business Administration at the University of Missouri–St. Louis. The World Trade Center St. Louis is located at 121 South Meramec Ave. (63105).

Breakfast and networking will begin at 7:30 a.m. The discussion will follow. The event is free and open to the public. Reservations are required. To register, visit or call 314-516-5883 or e-mail
